Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls

Apple pie for BREAKFAST! 🍎🍎🍎 YES PLEASE! This delicious recipe will become a fast Fall favorite for everyone in the family!

Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients:

  1. Apple filling:
  2. 5 Granny Smith apples peeled and diced
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    5 tablespoons butter

  3. 1 cup brown sugar
  4. 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

  5. 1 package crescent rolls
  6. 2 tablespoons butter (room temperature)

    Glaze:
    2 tablespoons butter (room temperature)
2 tablespoons cream cheese (room temperature)
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 cup powdered sugar
  7. Directions:

  8. Apple filling:
  9. 1. Heat a large skillet to medium/high heat and add 5 tablespoons of butter and stir until melted.
  10. 2. Add the apples and sugar and saute until the apples are lightly caramelized.
  11. 3.Remove the skillet from heat and set it aside until you are ready to use.

Cinnamon Rolls:

1. Preheat oven to 350°
2. Lightly grease the bottom and sides of a casserole dish
3. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon (put to the side)
4. Carefully unravel dough into a long rectangular shape, careful not to tear the perforated markings.

5. Lightly coat the dough with room temperature butter, leaving a 1/4-inch border free of any butter

6. Sprinkle the top of the dough with the cinnamon-sugar mixture, leaving the 1/4-inch borders free of sugar. Spread sugar evenly around the dough, and then press it into the dough using a fork or your fingers.
7. Spread the apple filling over the brown sugar as evenly as you can.
8. Roll the dough into a tight log. Slice it into eight even pieces (about 1/2 inch thick). Using a bench scraper or a spatula (so the cinnamon sugar does not pour out), transfer the dough pieces into a prepared baking dish and place them cut side up.
9. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until dough begins to turn golden brown on top.
10. Add glaze to the top of rolls while still warm

Glaze:

1. Combine butter, cream cheese, and vanilla together with a mixer
2. Add powdered sugar and mix until completely incorporated
