Tips for Saving Money on Children's Clothes

Kids grow so fast! Seems like they outgrow clothes faster than they can wear them. Here are some helpful tips on how to stop spending a small fortune on clothes for your kids!
Stock up on several sizes at once
One of the most important things is to stock up on larger sizes when things go on sale. So many times places like Walmart or Target put close on clearance. Walmart often has Garanimals items like shirts, onesies, pants, whatever all for a dollar each and in a bunch of different sizes.
Shop out of season
Plan on what clothing your kids will need a few seasons in advance. So many times I have gone shopping in March only to see racks of long sleeve shirts, or the end of September and see all kinds of bathing suits.  While you might not be thinking about buying these things at that time of year stores are offering deep discounts on out-of-season merchandise. You could find significant savings on a winter coat in May.
Shop online
Some online retailers offer online-only deals. Sites like Amazon and eBay often have overstock to clear out at steep discounts. You can also look for coupons for stores like Carters, The Children’s Place, and Old Navy. And the best part is you never have to leave your house!
Take advantage of yard sales
Yard sales are a great place to find cheap children’s clothes. Everyone has clothes their kids don’t wear anymore, and people are happy to get rid of them. You’ll find things often in great condition as well as brand new/never worn.
In addition to yard sales, search for local clothing swaps in your area. These events are often large, with local moms bringing in their unwanted or unused children’s clothes to swap with other moms for the sizes or styles they’re looking for.

I hope these tips help you to find some great deals on your children’s clothing!
